I’ve heard a lot about advances in dental technology. What do you have in the way of cutting edge technology?
We have quite a bit. We take digital impressions using the Itero System (no more gunk-filled trays!) and the increased accuracy results in better fitting crowns. Our x-rays are digital too, reducing radiation exposure by 50-80%. Also, we use a soft tissue diode laser. It’s advanced technology that cuts and seals the tissue at the same time, resulting in less bleeding, swelling, and discomfort for patients having such procedures. Our state of the art sterilization system can’t be beat with individual cassette set-up trays, Hydrim instrument cleaner, sterilizer, and follow-up spore testing to ensure the highest level of patient protection.
I’ve been attending Gerry’s office since ’86. A lot of people have a fear of dentists, I for one, I
don’t think there’s anything more fearful for me than sitting in that dentist chair. I had so many
bad experiences when I was a young kid. I moved around a lot back then and probably had about
15 different dentists. It wasn’t until I met Gerry back in 1986, that I discovered a dentist to be
very calming and caring as well. He’ll take whatever measures it takes to make you feel
comfortable in the chair.
Paul B., Filgiano patient
So I called him. It was Christmas Day, and I said, ‘I’m really in a lot of pain.’ He came in to
the office in between making his turkey dinner and eating his turkey dinner with his family. He came in,
started the root canal with me and then sent me on my way to have my turkey dinner as well, it was
fabulous. He’s always got time for you. He always asks; he’s interested; he remembers. Very personable. It’s extremely comfortable with everybody in the office. It’s kind of like going to your second family.
